Transformative vs. Maintenance Haircut: Which Do You Need?
One of the most common questions I get when someone's booking online is simple: "Which appointment do I actually need?" Here's the honest breakdown.
Transformative Haircut (About 1.5 Hours)
This is the one to book when you're changing something — a new shape, a different length, moving from short to longer or vice versa, or trying a completely new style like a rockstar shag or a fresh crop. It takes longer because there's more planning involved: talking through what you want, considering your hair's growth pattern, and cutting in a shape that will grow out well, not just look good on day one.
Book a Transformative Haircut if:
You're bored with your current style and want a real change
You saw a look you want to try (bring photos!)
It's been a long time since your last cut and you need more than a trim
You're growing out or cutting off a previous style
Maintenance Haircut (1 Hour)
This is for keeping a shape you already love looking sharp. It's not about changing anything — it's about cutting back to the same lines and structure so the style doesn't drift as it grows.
Book a Maintenance Haircut if:
You liked your last haircut and just want it kept up
Your style still fits your life and you're not looking to change it
You're on a regular cutting schedule (every 4–8 weeks depending on your style)
Express Haircut Refresh (30 Minutes)
Somewhere between "I need a full appointment" and "I'm fine for now," there's the Express Refresh — a faster appointment to clean up the shape between full cuts. Good for a quick reset before an event or when you're not quite ready for a full Maintenance visit.
